Subaru Loves to Help
What an amazing day we had at McGovern Subaru during our annual Operation Warm event!
On 1/14/2026, we proudly partnered once again with Operation Blessing and some incredible volunteers in Portsmouth, NH, to bring warmth, comfort, and smiles to families in our community. This event is more than just giving coats and shoes-it's about building confidence and creating opportunities for every child to thrive. Through Subaru's partnership with Operation Warm, we help ensure that kids have the essentials they need to attend school, play outside, and feel proud of themselves.
Operation Warm's mission is simple yet powerful: provide brand-new coats and shoes to children in need. These items aren't just material things-they're gifts of dignity and hope. We are honored to stand alongside them in making a difference.
This year, we were thrilled to continue working with Tammy and the amazing Operation Blessing team. Their dedication and organization turned this event into a seamless, joyful experience. We couldn't be more grateful for their leadership and the hard work of every volunteer who showed up with open hearts.
Together, we distributed coats, shoes and socks, along with pizza, snacks, desserts, and drinks to meet immediate needs. Any remaining items were donated to Operation Blessing for future use because the impact doesn't stop when the event ends.
Days like this remind us of the power of community collaboration. One coat, one pair of shoes, one smile at a time-we're building a stronger, more connected community.Thank you to Operation Blessing, Operation Warm, our volunteers, and everyone who made this day possible.
Subaru Loves the Earth
At Subaru, and those of us here at McGovern Subaru, believe that the world we leave behind reflects who we are. Because of that, we are dedicated to protecting and preserving our planet for future generations. As part of Subaru Loves the Earth this year, we teamed up with the Arbor Day Foundation to keep our communities green! Trees are vital-they provide oxygen, clean our air and water, cool our neighborhoods, and even improve our health. However, we lose 36 million trees annually due to age, disease, and extreme weather. That's why we took action! With the help of the Arbor Day Foundation, we proudly gave away 100 free trees to residents of Newington, NH, and surrounding towns. Seeing the smiles on our customers' faces was a true reminder of how much we all care about the Earth.

Subaru Loves to Care
Today at McGovern Subaru, we had the honor of delivering hope and comfort. As part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative, we proudly donated cozy blankets, thoughtful care packages, and handwritten cards of encouragement to the Cancer Ward at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. These messages weren't just from our team; they were also from our incredible customers, whose words of kindness will now reach those facing some of the toughest days of their lives. This annual tradition means so much to us. Partnering with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society reminds us why we do this: to support their mission to cure blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, MDS, and MPNs, and to help those affected find comfort and strength both emotionally and financially.
We also had the privilege of sharing gifts from a very special customer, Bill, who donated notebooks and get-well cards in honor of his wife, a proud cancer survivor. Bill shared that during her battle, he remembered seeing patients who had no one by their side. His gift was made so that no one feels alone. His generosity and compassion were deeply moving, and we were proud to stand alongside his kindness with our own. It was a powerful day of giving, full of purpose, connection, and care.
Subaru Loves Learning
At McGovern Subaru, we believe every child deserves the tools and support they need to thrive in school. That's why each year we proudly adopt 10 classrooms at Seabrook Elementary, donating $500 per class and hosting supply drives across our stores.
We know that teachers often spend their own money to provide essentials for their students and that too many children still start the school year without basics like pencils, crayons, or notebooks. By partnering with Seabrook Elementary, we hope to ease that burden and help create brighter learning experiences.
Last year, our contributions supported the creation of calming spaces for students who need a moment of peace, as well as engaging math games that made learning feel fun instead of intimidating. These may seem like small changes, but they have a significant impact on students' confidence and growth.
The Subaru Loves Learning initiative is close to our hearts because education shapes futures. We're proud to stand alongside these incredible teachers and students, and we look forward to continuing this tradition of care, compassion, and community.
Subaru Loves Pets
It has been McGovern Subaru's privilege to support the NHSPCA for many years!
Through initiatives like our Share the Love Event, Subaru Loves Pets adoption events in October, and most recently, the SPCA Gala & Auction for the Animals, we are proud to help make a difference.
Each year, we contribute an item to the auction, and this year we did something a little different Disney on Ice tickets! They were such a fun addition and a huge hit at the event.
The Gala is always an inspiring night, showcasing the incredible dedication and hard work that go into caring for animals before they find their forever homes. The employees and volunteers at NHSPCA are truly amazing, working tirelessly and selflessly to ensure every animal knows love.
We are so thankful to be part of this mission and to share in the love that makes it all possible.
Subaru Share the Love
We absolutely love this time of year! There's nothing more rewarding than coming together to do something meaningful for others. This season, our incredible team here at McGovern Subaru raised over $900 for Toys for Tots, a tradition we cherish every year.
Normally, we drop off the toys with our local police department, but this year brought an exciting twist! When we reached out, they informed us that the toys would be distributed through Operation Blessing at Green Leaf Rec Center in Portsmouth, NH. Learning this made us even more thrilled because Operation Blessing is part of this year's Share the Love Donations. In January, we will partner with them again for Operation Warm, providing socks and shoes to those in need in our local community.
Operation Blessing, led by the amazing Tammy Joslyn, is a true beacon of hope. Tammy pours her heart and soul into helping others, not because it's expected, but because she genuinely loves making a difference. We are grateful to stand alongside organizations and people like Tammy who share Subaru's belief: that giving back is giving love in a tangible way.Here's to spreading love, kindness, and warmth this holiday season.
