There's a special kind of magic that happens when people come together to help one another. Maybe it's paying for someone's coffee, covering the gas for a stranger, or just offering a smile on a hard day. These small, quiet acts of kindness remind us what it truly means to be human.
At McGovern Subaru, we believe in listening to those little nudges that tell us, "Do something good today." That's why we were so honored to partner once again with Operation Blessing, an incredible local organization that makes a difference every single day.
Led by the truly inspiring Tammy Joslyn, Operation Blessing is more than just a shelter or donation center-it's a sanctuary. A place where kids can learn, grow, and feel safe. Where families can find warmth in the winter, food when the cupboards are bare, and hope when the days feel heavy. Tammy and her team give everything they have to help people of all ages, and they do it with love, dignity, and grace.
With the help of our outstanding employees and customers, we recently held a food drive and were able to donate over $700 worth of food and hygiene items to help stock their shelves. It was a beautiful reminder of what's possible when people come together with open hearts.

Subaru Loves the Earth
At Subaru, and those of us here at McGovern Subaru, believe that the world we leave behind reflects who we are. Because of that, we are dedicated to protecting and preserving our planet for future generations. As part of Subaru Loves the Earth this year, we teamed up with the Arbor Day Foundation to keep our communities green! Trees are vital-they provide oxygen, clean our air and water, cool our neighborhoods, and even improve our health. However, we lose 36 million trees annually due to age, disease, and extreme weather. That's why we took action! With the help of the Arbor Day Foundation, we proudly gave away 100 free trees to residents of Newington, NH, and surrounding towns. Seeing the smiles on our customers' faces was a true reminder of how much we all care about the Earth.

Subaru Loves to Care
Today at McGovern Subaru, we had the honor of delivering hope and comfort. As part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative, we proudly donated cozy blankets, thoughtful care packages, and handwritten cards of encouragement to the Cancer Ward at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. These messages weren't just from our team; they were also from our incredible customers, whose words of kindness will now reach those facing some of the toughest days of their lives. This annual tradition means so much to us. Partnering with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society reminds us why we do this: to support their mission to cure blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, MDS, and MPNs, and to help those affected find comfort and strength both emotionally and financially.
We also had the privilege of sharing gifts from a very special customer, Bill, who donated notebooks and get-well cards in honor of his wife, a proud cancer survivor. Bill shared that during her battle, he remembered seeing patients who had no one by their side. His gift was made so that no one feels alone. His generosity and compassion were deeply moving, and we were proud to stand alongside his kindness with our own. It was a powerful day of giving, full of purpose, connection, and care.
Subaru Loves Learning
At McGovern Subaru, we believe every child deserves the tools and support they need to thrive in school. That's why each year we proudly adopt 10 classrooms at Seabrook Elementary, donating $500 per class and hosting supply drives across our stores.
We know that teachers often spend their own money to provide essentials for their students and that too many children still start the school year without basics like pencils, crayons, or notebooks. By partnering with Seabrook Elementary, we hope to ease that burden and help create brighter learning experiences.
Last year, our contributions supported the creation of calming spaces for students who need a moment of peace, as well as engaging math games that made learning feel fun instead of intimidating. These may seem like small changes, but they have a significant impact on students' confidence and growth.
The Subaru Loves Learning initiative is close to our hearts because education shapes futures. We're proud to stand alongside these incredible teachers and students, and we look forward to continuing this tradition of care, compassion, and community.
Subaru Loves Pets
Our furry friends and family deserve our love and support. We're proud to partner with the New Hampshire SPCA to help keep all animals healthy and safe.
McGovern Subaru is deeply committed to community involvement, engaging with both the people we encounter daily and the animals we cherish. Recently, we had the honor of participating in the SPCA Slumber Pawty Sleepover, aiding in fundraising for the local shelter. Thanks to our dedicated team, we successfully raised $1,000.00 for the SPCA, contributing to their mission. Our Parts Department Manager even spent a night in the kennel with an adorable pet awaiting adoption. Collaborating with the New Hampshire SPCA, which operates tirelessly to ensure the well-being of pets, is a privilege we hold dear. Participating in such a meaningful event, helping secure loving homes and providing financial support for these animals, is incredibly rewarding. The New Hampshire SPCA diligently cares for pets as they await their forever homes.

Our 9th Year Supporting a Truly Heroic Organization
This morning, our team at McGovern Subaru, alongside our partners at Subaru of New England, had the tremendous honor of presenting a $21,500 check to the New Hampshire SPCA - an incredible $5,000 more than last year's donation!
The NHSPCA holds a special place in our hearts. Their unwavering commitment to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals across New Hampshire inspires us every day. As part of Subaru's Share the Love® Event, Subaru donates $250 for every new Subaru purchased or leased. At McGovern Subaru, we proudly go even further - contributing an additional $75 for each vehicle sold or leased, plus $3 for every Subaru oil filter sold during oil changes.
This effort is powered by our amazing team and loyal customers, and we thank you all for making this possible.
The NHSPCA provides shelter and second chances to nearly 2,500 animals each year. As an open-admission, unlimited-stay facility, every animal gets the time, care, and compassion they deserve to find their forever home. From adoption and training programs to cruelty intervention and low-cost clinics, their work is nothing short of heroic.
This marks our 9th year of proudly supporting the NHSPCA - and we are honored to stand beside such a compassionate, life-changing organization.
